Sometimes when you walk around the Trek/Gary Fisher home office you find some neat stuff. Today I was going for a stroll past my friend Mikey’s desk. Mikey is the graphic designer for Fisher. If you dig the 29er Crew jersey or the ‘08 Subaru-Gary Fisher kit, thank Mikey. Another little known fact about Mikey is he’s very dangerous. I mean he must be, cuz we keep him chained to his desk and computer. (Figuratively.)
Anyway, I found this Fisher Superfly frame by Mikey’s desk. Looks like he was fitting it for graphics.
I didn’t have the heart to tell poor Mikey that they botched the frame. I mean, the dropouts are facing the wrong way! Duh! And where’s the derailleur hanger? How you supposed to strap on a rear derailleur here?!
Anyhoo, this frame is no doubt headed for the scrap heap. Too bad they ruined a perfectly good Superfly frame. Arghhh!

Send the frame to me…I’ll turn it into a SS with my eccentric hub!!
Uh-oh, watch out WORS, the Lalond bros are going to kill it on those. Looks like a sub-20 SS!
I have a X Caliber 29 which I love. I have 2 questions.1) What can I do to not bottom out the front forks I’m 6′1″ @ 210 lbs. I push hard on down hills and over large rocks, it bet’s my arms up and I’m looking for answers. 2) I have a Sram x.9 RDw/long cage which is constantly getting torn off and bent by rocks and wood. Also under a hard climb it may not shift into the lower gears until I back off the force. Should I be looking at a XO or Red w/short cage. Any help?
Um, I have been hiding under the scrap heap for quite some time now. When is the above frame going to land there so I can take it and go home?
