Lessons in Hardness

The winter riding conditions in Kansas City have been without a doubt a lesson in “Hardness.”* Oh, and don’t mind the caveman look it would happen to you too if Mother Nature served you up a nice cold plate of harden up…

Too much Winter!

Too much Winter!

*Hardness:

  • the property of being rigid and resistant to pressure; not easily scratched
  • unfeelingness: devoid of  feeling; hardheartedness
  • the quality of being difficult to do
  • severity: excessive sternness; “severity of character”; “the rigors of boot camp”
  • You get the point and I’m getting the lessons… Heading to the mountain bike trails this winter I usually face sub-zero temps, wind, ice, lots of snow, slush, gunk, mud, muck, and salty roads…with a lopsided grin of course. The SuperFly has been spot on and has stood the test of time without so much as a hint of slowing down. Me on the other hand am ready for some warm days and some tasty dry single track or I may just crack up big time. Wanna ride in Kansas City? Shoot me an email. See ya out there…
