Shenadoah 100

With this past weekends visit to Mecca I have come home with greater clarity and further conviction in the holy sport of mountain biking.  I’m increasingly impressed with the denomination of 100 mile racing.  It is so much more than just riding a bike fast.

These are the three basic  truths.

1:  It is better to be on your bike all day then waiting for a race to start.

2:  Group energy and individual goals are better facilitated by one event with everybody involved

3:  Your body can do more that you thought possible

The shenandoah went well for me this year.  I ended up 2nd and now have a head full of what ifs to take me into the fall.  This sport is better than it gets credit for, and that is just fine.  Those of us who love it will not quit.

The company you were with are legends, as well as you.
Those S.O.B’s have been beating the crap out of me for years!

    Cheers,
