G2 front end

For anyone who hasn’t already tried out the new line of Gary fishers with G2 custom offset forks; just you wait.  I’m going to go out on a limb and say it is the most remarkable improvement in bike design since dual suspension started getting good.  I’ve always been a fan of the shorter stems and putting the longer travel forks on the cross country bikes to rake it out.  With the G2 you truly have it all.  It’s telepathic.  The handling is light yet stable; on steep climbs the front end stays down and the wheel stays straight; on fast, steep, hairball descents, the bike is stable, right under you, and right where you want it to be.  I’ve never felt so at home on a new bike. 

From someone who loves taking cross country bikes to there limits on rugged terrain, let me tell you, the G2 breaks down a few barriers.  Less hiking, more riding.
