EFTA Series # 1
Great course and a fun way to start EFTA season in RI on the 18th, fun New England race, very technical and you never stopped pedaling. We thankfully got four laps to work out small issues such as stopping on lap one to let air pressure from tires, then again to raise seat and tighten seatpost clamp after it sank and inch over three laps.
Thankfully I was not alone on this, Thom, broke a pedal and had to refill a tire, Paul had to stop and beat a sprocket with a rock in order to make a chain fit back on from stone contact. Fisher 29 rider Thom Parsons who is flying on that single speed won our class after despite pedal and flat issues! Check out his blog page here http://wellonabigbikeya.blogspot.com/ Paul Simoes pulled off second after fixing his ride also, another Single Speed ride, I wound up third and was quite pleased considering the actual training time I have gotten in this season so far.
Bolts will be checked and thread-locked before before I take off this sunday to Vermont for a NORBA New England series event.
