Thanks to Travis for bearing with me- I must’ve been born in the wrong century since I’m new to the blogging game and computers can give me a right old headache ( thats probably why I teach history) but here I am.

 It’s been a long winter over here in Blighty and couldn’t believe it when it started to snow again on the weekend, especially in London. You don’t expect to see the white stuff sticking. It’s been a long and very eventful winter for me and the Lewis gang. Back in December our first son arrived on the scene just days after Charlie phoned to tell me that I’d got a place on the xcracer.29er team. It was a fantastic week and little Jack Meilyr Lewis, born 8lbs has already had his photo taken on board the Superfly! The poor little fella has no chance in avoiding bikes and is already committed to being dragged around the races this summer.

Having the place on the team has been incredible for my motivation, hauling myself out of bed in the mornings to get the hours in before school and feeding the baby has been tough but I think I’m riding more now than ever before; the lack of sleep will also help with the preparation for my first 24hr solo in July at trhe Bontrager 24/12 event thats what I reckon anyway. Looking forward to the first competitive ride on the Superfly and can’t beliebve that my last race was back last August at the Cristalp in Switzerland- that seems like a lifetime ago!
