Sea Otter: Day 1
Sea Otter, well technically it’s day 2 as I was at the venue yesterday, but just to see where our tent is. Weather is beautiful, and I’ve got a nice sunburn on the arms to prove it.
I’m up here at the Otter with Ej from Crankskins and Jerry from Hippie Tech Suspension. Working on over at booth 380 right across from the Food Court.
I peeled away and got out to do a nice ride on the course. Super dry conditions, quite a bit of climbing and incredible views. Course is a perfect match for the Superfly, lots of fast fireroads, quick singletrack and open climbs. I’m running the Bontrager Jonex ACX Dry, and is hooking up awesome on the course. The bike is just rippingly fast out on the course.
There is quite a bit of sand and some nasty sandy descents out on the course. The Superfly handles it with ease. Singletrack is fast and swoopy, and there’s not too many shaded sections on the course. Luckily race day conditions are going to be quite a bit cooler
I met up with our homeboy, running the team; Travis and swapped out my jerseys for a larger size. Hopefully, we’ll get to go out for a ride together, most likely gonna end up Saturday am with the man himself, Gary Fisher.
Here’s my pics in a nice little slideshow. I could’ve taken tons more, but I didn’t want to interrupt the flow, or even take my eyes off some of the stuff as it was just rockin.
More to come tomorrow….

Jason,
How did you do the slide show?
I’m stuggling to upload a single picture at the moment.
