Brown brings blue!

The wait is finally over!  Tuesday evening the big brown truck rolled up to my place while I was playing in the park across the street with my little guy.  Mail!  he exclaimed (to a sixteen month old, all UPS, Fed Ex and USPS delivery vehicles are the same and simply called mail) as I swooped him up and ran over to the house.  I had pretty much given up hope that it was going to arrive on Tuesday and figured Wednesday would instead bring the new ride.  After grilling up some burgers and hastily eating dinner, I sprang into action in the garage and managed to assemble the bike and squeeze in about an hour ride all before it finally got dark.  My initial reaction to the new blue HiFi Pro is one of total satisfaction.  I had demoed one last fall for a very short ride on our trail network and afterwards, really wanted one.  I just hoped it was as good as I had remembered.  It definitely is!  It has all of the great attributes we love about the 29ers and yet feels as nimble and perhaps quicker than the procaliber I was riding last year.  I commuted on it the next day and managed an evening trail ride later too.  Today I switched out the Bontrager Rhythm Elite wheels to my new Rig and put the Race X Lites that were temporarily on the Rig (while waiting for blue to arrive) on Blue.  Hopefully I can hit some more trails tomorrow and see what else it can do…
