lost-valley-startThis year they combined two series to have one state wide series. Midwest Fat Tire series.   After two cancelled races,  last Sunday finally started off the season with the Lost Valley race.  A super fast course with about a mile of brand new single track thanks to these guys.  The marathon class had 31 racers which is huge compared to normal.  I have to admit I was pretty nervous putting on the 29er crew kit before the race but also very stoked.  My buddy Mitch was out for a early season race, he is not your typical looking racer but you can figure out real quick why we call him the Masher. I think out of all of the people I love racing against the most it would have to be him, super tough super smooth!   Mr Breslin  lined up next to me starting the race, one thing for sure about Dave is he always brings his A game.  The race started off fast with about a mile of gravel road to get us to the loop. Jay led us out from the start  then me and Dave pulled  through.  I got a good gap off of the first climb and managed to stay out front for the whole race, everything could not of gone more perfect. Dave and Mitch finished not to far back in second and third.  I got a good feeling the competition in the marathon class this year is going to be awesome.   We are lucky enough to have  these guys at our races snapping wrists and handing out PBRs maybe you will be lucky enough to have them show up at one of yours!
